The Bardia National Park Jungle Safari, offered by Himalayan Social Journey, is an exceptional wildlife tour designed for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers. While trekking in Nepal immerses you in its rich cultural heritage, a jungle safari in Bardia invites you to experience the serene beauty of Nepal's lowlands. Established in 1988, Bardia National Park is one of the largest and most pristine national parks in the country.

Home to majestic Bengal tigers, wild elephants, the great one-horned rhinoceros, swamp deer, and blackbuck, the park boasts an impressive array of biodiversity. Visitors can encounter over 30 mammal species, more than 863 types of flora, over 230 bird species, and various reptiles and fish throughout the grasslands and rivers. This makes the Bardia National Park Jungle Safari an exciting yet tranquil way to explore Nepal's wild landscapes.

Renowned for its elephant and jungle safaris, the park offers thrilling encounters with herds of wild elephants and, if you're fortunate, a glimpse of the elusive Royal Bengal tiger. This adventure provides an intimate view of Nepal's natural vegetation through various jungle activities. You'll also have the chance to walk through local villages, engage with residents, and gain insights into their unique lifestyles, culture, and traditions—distinct from those of the hilly regions and Himalayas.

Overall, the Bardia National Park Jungle Safari is a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, allowing you to connect deeply with nature. Join Himalayan Social Journey for this unforgettable experience in Bardia National Park and savor the joy of exploring Nepal's incredible wildlife and lush landscapes.

We will be accompanied by a trained guide, well suited for maneuvering the river which does not have any rapids. Throughout the journey we get to admire the beautiful sub-tropical landscape along with the plentiful wildlife. Catching glimpses of wild animals quenching their thirst in the vast Karnali River will be an amazing experience! If you must know we would not be the only ones floating in the Karnali River as the river is home to endangered Gharial crocodile, marsh mugger and gangetic dolphins. Furthermore, this trip is also good for bird-watching as there are quite a number of resident and migratory birds in the Bardia National Park. We end the day with another Tharu cultural dance program.

Day 4 : Elephant-back Safari, final departure

After breakfast we set forth on an interesting elephant-back safari. Apart from the fun, another benefit of elephant-back safari is that there is a better chance of seeing wild animals, since the wild animals are less scared when you're on the top of their mammoth friend. Moreover, riding the elephant also saves us from any potential attacks by the wild animals. The elephants usually head northwest and we may see deer, langoor monkeys, rhinos and boars. After the safari, a Himalayan Social Joureny representative will drop us off at the Nepalgunj airport.
