Region Trekking in India
Duration 10 Days

Ladakh is the eastern-most extension of the Tibetan plateau and is rightly called “the little Tibet”. With an average altitude of more than 3,000m, Ladakh‟s inaccessibility and harsh environment has ensured that its unique character has been preserved for centuries and the region is one of the last remaining abodes of Tibetan Buddhism.

It has remained isolated for centuries to the outside world due to its inaccessibility, and the strategic position it occupies in the northern frontier. Ladakh has a rich cultural and religious heritage as can be seen from the centuries old monasteries, some of them built on sheer cliffs and still functioning actively.

A holiday in Ladakh allows you to explore truly extraordinary scenery, a moonscape of deep gorges, snowy mountains and arid plains. „Little Tibet‟ never fails to leave a lasting impression on all its visitors
