“This was the experience of a lifetime. Our guide Raju, assistant guide Sujan and Jupe driver Bijan were incredible. Nothing was too difficult for them. We didn’t feel well, they gave sound advice, we had a special dietary need, they ensured we were catered for, we couldn’t quite manage the last few steps and Fanta was offered-thank you Sujan. I can’t imagine having any other guides than those that we had. The joy we all felt when Raju made it to Base Camp after having looked after a potentially ill team member and staying behind to see them to safety-then running to catch us- we had left 5 hours earlier but he caught us!! It was amazing to experience Base Camp with both amazing guides. Thank you for the absolute care and dedication you all give to your jobs, we all appreciated you very much. Nicola Reid. “Being over 50 and fairly fit (I'm certainly no Gym Junkie), I was a bit worried about doing this trek but thanks to our fabulous (words cant express how good!!!) guides Bishnu and Bassan, I had nothing to worry about. The pace they set suits everyone and also ensures you adjust to the altitude correctly. Their advice regarding hydration, what to eat and really everything got us all through. With a group of 10 ranging from 21yo to 55yo, we all achieved EBC and had the best time doing it. I cannot recommend highly enough the services of Himalayan Social Journey who did everything possible to make the entire trip the best of my life. I will definitely be going back and definitely be using HSJ again. To anyone that is thinking about this, don't think, just do!”

They excelled in caring for our needs, from cooking our meals, setting up our tent and continually taking care of our welfare. Our guide Bishnu and porters Gopel and Kurmer were exceptional in every aspect. We experienced the pristine beauty and rugged charm of remote Nepal. I went for my 50th birthday and it exceeded my expectations. Big shout out to MingMai who took my husband shopping last minute as the airlines lost his luggage. Buy all your gear there so much cheaper and does the job. $200 for everything. ❤️”

“My wife and I recently travelled to Nepal to do the Everest Base Camp trek with Himalayan Social Journey. From start to end, our guide, Saroj and his trusty assistant, PK, were fantastic. Saroj is extremely focused on getting EVERYONE in the group (there were 12 in ours) to achieve their goals safely and to have fun along the way. It was one of the hardest things we've ever done, but also one of the most rewarding and unforgettable experience of our lives. We would not have done it without the guidance and professionalism of Saroj and we made some fantastic friends as well. Truly something everyone should do once in their lives. The Himalayas are a world treasure and we will never forget our time in Nepal.”

“One of the most memorable and challenging things I have done, Himalayan Social Journey were fantastic and made this trip for us. Our start to the trip was not the best as my luggage did not arrive in Kathmandu from our stop in China, so one of our guides Mynmar took me on a shopping spree the night before our trek and got all the gear I needed in 45 minutes at a fraction of the price. A big thankyou to our guides Soraj Nepal and PK who got us to base camp with there knowledge and expertise, became our family. Totally recommend HSJ”

“Going to Everest Base Camp is one the best accomplishment I’ve ever done in my lifetime. This trip is full of good memories and challenging experience. Himalayan Social Journey is the best company that you can book your trip to Everest Base Camp. I noticed that every hotel that we stayed into from every village is the best hotel in that village. “I travelled over to Neapl to meet a friend travelling up from Melbourne. The second you land in Nepal HIMALAYAN SOCIAL JOURNEY ensure they are there for every single need imaginable. I was blown away by the never ending hospitality, thoughtfulness and genuine kindness offered to each and everyone of us by their team. Saroj our guide is a very highly skilled, professional as well as a competent leader who seemed to bounce effortlessly off his other half PK who kept us all smiling even through the tougher hours while trekking. “I completed the Mount Everest Base Camp trek with HSJ journey and Binod (Binny) as our trekking guide. All I can say is that it was an absolutely amazing experience overall! The trip is well organised and we had great accomodation before and after our trek. The everest mountain range is gorgeous - a lot more scenic than I was expecting. It can definitely be challenging at times, but all good things in life are worth the effort :). Binny was an absolutely champion trekking guide and was very attentive to our needs and brought some fun and laughter on the way also. I also got a bit of altitude sickness in the higher parts, and it was comforting to have Binny supporting me throughout that period, keeping me positive and helping me to reach our goal of reaching everest base camp. Definitely a thumbs up for HSJ!! Thanks guys for an amazing trip!!”

“Everest Base Camp had always been on my husband's bucket list....not something I had really considered but an offer too good to miss came up so we booked it. BEST TRIP EVER.....Himalayan Social Journey are an amazing company, absolutely faultless, nothing was ever too much trouble, anytime I emailed Usha in the office she would always reply as soon as she was available (thank you Usha for always being so efficient) the entire trip is so well organised Then there was our guide MINGMAR SHERPA......this guy is such a wealth of knowledge, heaps of fun, excellent English, very caring and considerate and we are SO pleased and lucky we had him as our guide.....he has a 100% success rate in ensuring his entire team make it to EBC.....he's THE BEST ;0) We both loved the entire experience, not only did we get to see Mount Everest, the views along the whole trek blow you away, they may look good on photo's but to see them with the naked eye is another level... We had a fantastic team of 14 people and soon became very close, having fun, making lifelong friends, assisting each other along the way....Mingmar & his assistant guide Kubir Magar were great too - if anyone needed assistance they were always happy to help... This was our first ever trek and we both have the bug for more - we're hoping to go back to Nepal and book our next trek to Annapurna through the Himalayan Social Journey and fingers crossed we can get on a trek with Mingmar Sherpa.... If you get the chance to do the EBC trek we HIGHLY recommend HSJ as a company, Mingmar Sherpa as a guide.....and the trek to Everest Base Camp is something you should do......you won't regret it :0)”

“My partner and I did the 16 day Everest base camp trek with Himalayan Social Journey in September/October and could not recommend them highly enough! The company was very professional and our tour guides Mingmar Sherpa and PK were awesome! The guides went above and beyond to help us out and make sure we all made it up to base camp. I was also sick one of the days and Mingmar helped me walk until I felt better and constantly made sure I was ok until I was back to 100%. The trek was beautiful and one of the best things I have done to date, we had amazing weather the whole time as well. Would definitely do it again and recommend Himalayan Social Journey and Mingmar as a guide 😊”

“Being 52 ( and of relative fitness) and following my dreams of trying all and everything, I set off on this trip of a life time with a mixture of worry, concern and excitiment of the unkown to come. “This month we had the privilege and amazing experience to hike to Everest base camp, which while not being the most relaxing holiday I have ever been on I can safely say it was the most rewarding. Certainly a key factor to the success of the trip was the tireless efforts of tour guide mingma sherpa which did everything he could to make the trip as comfortable as possible.
