“Went for Ebc trek on 20 sept 2023 , the entire trek was amazing with breathtaking views, our guides Santosh and dinesh. Santosh- is an amazing guide with lots of knowledge about Himalayas and mountaineering , certain paths we saw alternate routes but Santosh ran ahead of us to check if it’s even safe for us to take, I said he ran at altitude of 4000m and above , for us breathing itself was a tough task, but he ran, can see he is right one to guide you through this trek. I kept asking him the names of the mountains he was able to answer me all, he knew how to keep the group Close knit and was extremely patient to our group trekkers who need more time to reach tea houses. Highly recommended guide! Dinesh- (who is also an ex chef) he is more local guide and knows all the trekking route by heart , he went extra mile to make sure all the trekkers were safe, and sound at all times , has amazing navigation skills. There was an incident where one of the yaks slipped of the trekking route and fell in the bushes and dinesh even went down to rescue the yak, shows care and concern for both human and animals . Also during trek many people in our group were affected with high altitude so emotions were flowing out and some people even shouted at him for being slightly faster at the start, but he stayed calm and never let his anger or emotions Come out. That’s how a true guide should be . Not to forget our porter (kanchi ahma) she is strongest and bravest lady I have ever met, she single handedly carried 10-15 kgs of duffel bags without any pain or complaints, she made sure our duffel bags reached earlier than us waiting at tea house before we reached , she was the fastest among all of us ! Superwomen! And 5 yaks who carried our groups bags to Ebc and back , so grateful to all of you. Without you we will suffer and might not even reach Ebc if we had to carry the duffel bags ourselves . Overall an amazing trek , unforgettable memories created , and super tempted to do summits now.”

“I embarked on a 14-day journey to the Everest Base Camp, organised by Himalayan Social Journey. Our group consisted of 8 individuals, each hailing from diverse walks of life. However, our adventure was off to an unpredictable start when our flight to Lukla was canceled due to adverse weather conditions. Faced with this challenge and relying on the forthcoming weather forecasts for the next three days, we collectively decided to take the road route. Although this decision extended our overall trip by three days, our ever-inspiring guide, Khilraj from HSJ, remained our beacon of support and motivation throughout the entire trek. We strived to secure the best accommodations at each resting place along our journey. Khilraj's dedication to our well-being was unwavering, as he diligently ensured that each member of our diverse group completed the trek. For someone like me, who found it challenging to keep up with the pace of the younger trekkers, Khilraj was a constant source of encouragement. He stayed by my side, offering unwavering support and ensuring that I could fully partake in this extraordinary adventure. In the end, the journey was a gratifying and fulfilling experience for me. “This is the third time our family have used this very professional company. We first used them after friends recommendations and they never fail to deliver an unbelievable service. A local company employing local people with a fierce pride and knowledge around what they do. So very professional but with a very personal touch that makes you feel like you are part of the family. We did the EBC trek with Mingmar, a guide that looked after us in a way that family would. On top of that his knowledge of the environment and local issues made the whole experience seamless. He was there 24 hours a day for any problems and dealt with any issues in such a calm easy manner. We consider him a friend and one we have a great deal of respect for. Our time in Nepal once again has been an uplifting and wonderful experience and Himalayan Social Journey must take the credit for that. “We recently returned from Nepal after completing the Everest base camp trek with HSJ. Overall it was an excellent experience and they took care of all of our needs. They were very flexible and well connected for example there was bad weather in Lukla on our arrival resulting in 7 days of no flights. However HSJ managed to get us on a Helicopter the next morning so we could start despite huge demand. Our guide was Tenzing who proved to be a brilliant guide. He had lot's of useful local knowledge, helped us when unwell, nothing was too much and knew exactly how to approach a situation to get the best results for his clients. We can't rate him highly enough.”

“Had a wonderful time in Nepal for long 22 days. Unfortunately I couldn't finish my EBC trek due to sickness but Amrit was like a guardian angel to me who arranged a helicopter for my evacuation. Santosh was most knowledgeable guide I have ever seen. His mild but effective humor converted most critical moments to enjoyable moments. “We did our Everest Base Camp with Himalayan Social journey and am glad we took this decision. Right from the communication before the start of the trek to the end, every little detail was taken care of by them. Unfortunately 5 of 11 group members had to be evacuated and the process was made so smooth by them that we were left speechless. A special shout out to our guide Santosh and Arjun who were with us at each and every step. During the entire trek they made sure no one was left behind or facing any difficulties. Every minute things were handled so diligently that we couldn't ask for more. Their knowledge was also worth appreciating. Not to forget their owner Amit who was prompt in replying to all our questions and doubts before the trek. I'd definitely come back to them for my next trek.”
