“In September, I completed a 14-day trek to Everest Base Camp with Himalayan Social Journey, fulfilling a long-time bucket list dream. Traveling solo from Australia, I joined a group of six others, all from India, and had an incredible time. Our guide, Santosh, did an amazing job balancing everyone’s needs, ensuring I felt accommodated while also looking after the rest of the group. We were fortunate that everything on our tour went smoothly—flights were on time, and accommodations were without issues. I would highly recommend Himalayan Social Journey, and if I were to go again, I’d definitely request Santosh as my guide.”

“Had 14 days Everest base camp ( group of 11) and Gokyo trek ( group of 2) in Oct 2024. Had a great experience with the whole team. Manager Amrit did great job explaining everything and planning for the trip, answering questions in what’s app group and also in zoom meeting, easily accessible. our guide Santosh was phenomenal, making our trip smooth and comfortable. Guide Santosh, Assistant guides Arjun and Karma and porters were always there for us, ready to help, they did their job above and beyond. They were professional. they all help us to make our trip smooth, although we needed some changes in travel plan due to weather we got the help on time, fully satisfied with their service. Starting with accommodation, everything was great and beyond my expectations. The hotels or tea houses were lively with great people who went beyond their abilities and ensured we had a great time after a long trek. Next is our guides Dawaa and Anil. They ensured that the flight cancellation will not be enough to dampen our spirits. They immediately took action and we traveled by road covering some of the exotic interior Nepal regions which we could have missed had we taken flight. Next are the porters suzan and others ensured we had no worries about our luggage and hats off to them when they helped us in descent of Thamdara with zero visibility. Last and not the least Amrit and Usha who always kept contact throughout the trek and ensured we had a helicopter at our disposal when it mattered the most. “This trek had been on our bucket list for the last 20 years. We knew it would be tough, but also awesome. So this year when we got the chance, we booked a trek through Thrillophilia, and we were cared for by the Himalayan Social Journey company. Without a doubt, it was the best choice. My husband and I being in our late 50s, loved the trek and the raw beauty of the Himalayas. But we also found the trek a real tough challenge which added to the adventure. But all throughout the trek, the guides Santosh and Rupesh were always patient, matching their pace to ours as a parent would do with a child. Never a frown or an impatient look, but they would smile and encourage us to take our time and move forward when we felt ready. What can I say? I am really impressed with the entire team, arrangements, and the warm interaction. We all felt like long time friends and family. Truly recommend. “11 of us from USA went on EBC trek with HSJ. From communication before the trip to coordination after reaching Nepal was excellent, the entire team of HSJ (Amrut) were phenomenal. Out guides were Santosh (lead guide) and Karma and Arjun (assistant guides) were the best team we could have asked for. Especially Santosh who made sure our team of 11 with varied physical abilities stayed healthy and safe and well cared for. He picked our bags when we needed a hand and encouraged us through out the trip. Karma and Arjun were remarkable. Always cheerful and energetic. The team has handled every aspect of our trip professionally and with care. I do not know how they do this day in and day out in conditions both good and bad. EBC trip is a life changing trip and having the right tour company and right guides is critical. HSJ anticipated potential delays and gave recommendations that saved us the hassle of long bus rides and delays. Hope to do another trip some other time with these phenomenal guides”
