“About a year ago 3 of us decided if was time to trek to Everest Base Camp. We chose Himalayan Social Journey as we new someone who had used them previously. We decided on EBC plus Gokyo. Over the next year I was in contact with HSJ who where very helpful and quick to reply. We orginally going to trek in October but HSJ recommended November as less crowded and better weather. This turned out to be the case. We met our guide Indra in Kathmandu who got us safely to Ramechhap and on the plane to Lukla then next day. In Lukla we met our porter Nema. Both were fantastic, nothing too much trouble and always a smiling face. The weather was great, blue skies and tshirt weather during the day all the way to EBC and over Chol La Pass. Amazing mountains, lots of donkeys and yaks. Trip of a lifetime we will all remember. Hope to return again one day.”

“We were a group of 8 family and friends that did the EBC trek with Helicopter back from Pheriche. What a wonderful adventure. Our guide, Mingmar, was the best. He was so kind and always put us first throughout the trek. We could not have had a better leader/guide. The trip was organized so well, all the details were met even when snags showed up, they were taken care of quickly and appropriately. I could not recommned HSJ and Migmar any highter. Thank you!”

“What an amazing trip!! HSJ was awesome and our guides Mingmar and Bal were excellent and really kept our pace just right so that everyone could make it to Base Camp! They both were very knowledgeable and prepared us greatly each night for the next days trek! Accommodations and food were just what I expected and made the journey very memorable! Would highly recommend this trip if you’re thinking about it!!”

“Great overall experience and especially our guide Mingmar. Incredibly knowledgeable helping the group with whatever was needed from taking pics, providing assistance when altitude sickness crept in, logistics at each tea house, and keeping on schedule. Our group had Yaks instead of porters which I thought was more efficient for a group of eight. Think about spending extra on helicopter in stead of plane into Lukla as the weather impacts planes more severely. Thanks for great adventure Himalaya Social Journey.”

“Its been a wonderful Everest Base Camp (EBC) experience with Himalayan Social Journey (HSJ). They made us stay in a luxury hotel in Kathmandu. During the trek, our HSJ guide Anil Nepali stayed us with through ups & downs. He patiently stayed during delays due to rain, Trekked back 3km at night as i had developed AMS in the middle & stayd in hospital as one of my partner fell sick. He always prioritized our safety over his although in many cases he worn out. HSJ even arranged a helicopter from Lukla to Kathmandu at the end as we stuck due to rain. They seems have good connections over the trail to help during emergencies. Highly recommended”

“Great Adventure! The Sherpas I. E. Mingmar, Janak, Tenzing and Kubir took good care of us. Enjoyed the trip a lot, a little uncomfortable when it comes to accomodation but you can't expect much at 5000m height.”

“Mingmar sherpa dai was our trek lead along-with Tenzing dai, Janak and Siddharth. All of them really helped us during entire the trek. Whether it is stay, food or assistance for any additional request. I would highly recommend them as trek leads if you are planning for the trek in and around Nepal. Specially EBC.”

“It was my first trekking experience in Nepal and Himalayan Social Journey made the entire experience memorable. They are very professional and will help you at every point. “Manaslu Circuit with Larkya La Pass Trek was my third trek other than EBC and ABC with this organization. Ice capped mountains, turquoise water of mountain rivers, breathtaking and picturique nature all made me happy and content. Amrit Sir took care of me as if I was one of his family member! “Hi , I had a dream to trek to the Everest base camp. It was great experience when I went with Himalayan social journey. It was memorable journey. Our itenary was very well managed. We had excellent guide, Dawa Sherpa. He guided us excellently through the toughest terrains. Informed us about the do's and don't while trekking. He also informed about the food and water. We had two porters Santosh and virender without which we couldn't complete the trek. A special thanks to both of them for their excellent friendly nature. The experience was amazing, as all of these three worked very hard to make it successful. Thanks for everything”

“My group of three did the Everest Base Camp Trek with the Helicopter ride down and all I can say is, what an experience! In the best way possible! First off Himalayan Social Journey made the whole booking process super simple and they answered all of questions, and I had a lot of questions! From the second we landed in Kathmandu to the second we left, Himalayan Social Journey took care of us every step of the way, from coordinating airport pick up/drop off, coordinating our stay, the entire trek and taking great care of us when we got back to Kathmandu after the trek! Now specifically for the EBC trek we cannot thank Indra, our guide, and our three porters enough! We ended up having a total group of 6 people. Our porters were so friendly and helpful and always got our kit bags to the next tea house! Indra our guide was AMAZING!!!!! He went above and beyond throughout the whole trip and was so encouraging the whole trip and that was a huge help especially since throughout the trek we all had highs and lows! He made sure we were drinking enough water, helped get us set up with our tea house and made sure we had all of our food ordered! Indra was also a wealth of knowledge, throughout the trek he would tell us about the different towns, the different mountains, the culture we were experiencing, and any questions we had he was always happy to answer them! The trek was tough, but Indra made sure our whole group made it to EBC and we had a good time during the whole thing! Indra really went above and beyond during the trip especially from the start when limited planes were taking off to Lukla he got us on a flight! I highly recommend booking your EBC trek through Himalayan Social Journey and I definitely recommend asking for Indra to be your guide!!!! You will not regret it!”
