The helicopter lands at Kala Patthar at 5,545 metres. During the flight it may briefly reach around 6,000 metres while crossing ridges in the Everest region.

Dress in warm layers. At Kala Patthar (5,545 m) temperatures can be below freezing even in summer. A down jacket or fleece, thermal base layer, warm gloves, and a hat are recommended. Wear sturdy shoes — the landing area is rocky. Sunglasses are strongly advised as UV intensity at altitude is high.

Yes, but all permits are arranged and included by HSJ. You do not need to do anything separately. A government-issued photo ID (passport) is required on the day of your flight for permit verification at the airport.
