The Everest Helicopter Tour takes off early in the morning during the fair weathers. You are received by a private vehicle and dropped to the domestic terminal of the Kathmandu airport. The flight to Everest Base Camp takes off as soon as you board in the helicopter. Initially, the helicopter heads towards Langtang region and Mt. Langtang. Lirung and Ganesh Himal are visible.

The helicopter takes right turn and head towards east. The landscapes, rivers and the local settlements are incredible during this section of flight. Within 20-25 minutes of flight, the helicopter lands at Lukla airport for fueling. We stop there for 10-15 minutes for fueling and again fly towards Everest Base Camp.

Now, we begin to fly over Sagarmatha National Park and its serene surrounding. The Khumbu glacier and Thamserkhu are beautifully visible. We fly over Namche Bazaar, fly past Tengboche and finally land at either Everest Base Camp or Kalapatthar depending on weather condition. Actually, we don’t land at both Kalapatthar and Everest Base Camp. The first priority will be for Everest Base Camp if the weather favors because stepping at Everest Base Camp will be a historical moment for the people.

The both places: Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar are, normally, windy. You cannot stop there for more than 20 minutes since its freezing cold and also there is threat of altitude sickness as we directly fly and land above 5000m. We cannot and should not stop there for more than 20 minutes because in case we have altitude sickness, we will be in a big trouble and ultimately, the entire trip will be very unpleasant.
