Day-by-Day Itinerary
Welcome to Nepal! Our representative will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport with a welcome sign and transfer you to your hotel in a private vehicle. The day is free to rest and recover from your journey. In the evening, join your guide for an orientation briefing at 5:00 PM to meet your fellow travellers, review your upcoming days and get essential local tips. Enjoy a special welcome dinner together — the perfect start to your Nepal adventure.
After breakfast at your hotel, board your comfortable tourist bus for the overland journey to Pokhara (approximately 6–7 hours). The route follows the scenic Prithvi Highway, winding through Nepal's mid-hills along the banks of the Trishuli River, past deep gorges, dense forest and terraced rice paddies clinging to the hillsides. Small roadside towns, chai stops and occasional glimpses of the Ganesh Himal make the journey itself an experience. Watch for your first sightings of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges emerging above the clouds as you near Pokhara. Upon arrival, check into your lakeside hotel and spend the afternoon exploring the famous Lakeside district at your own pace — browse local handicrafts, sip coffee by the lake and watch the sun dip behind the Himalayas.
Set your alarm early — today you will witness one of Nepal's most spectacular sights. Rise before dawn for the drive up to Sarangkot Hill (1,590 m), where you'll watch the first light of sunrise paint the Annapurna Range — including Annapurna I (8,091 m), Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Dhaulagiri — in brilliant shades of gold and crimson. It's a moment that stays with you forever.
After returning for breakfast, spend the day exploring Pokhara's top sights with your guide: glide across the glassy waters of Phewa Lake by rowboat with the Himalayas reflected all around you; climb to the hilltop World Peace Pagoda for a panoramic view of the entire valley and lake; descend into the mystical Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave with its ancient limestone formations; marvel at the powerful Devi's Falls (Patale Chhango), which disappears dramatically into an underground gorge; and visit the International Mountain Museum, which chronicles the history of Himalayan mountaineering and Nepal's mountain cultures. In the evening, explore Lakeside's restaurants and vibrant night scene at your leisure.
After breakfast, board the tourist bus for the return journey to Kathmandu (6–7 hours). The route back offers a fresh perspective on Nepal's varied landscape — lush river gorges, hilltop villages and the gradual transition from the open Pokhara basin to the busy Kathmandu Valley. Use the journey to rest and relive the highlights of Pokhara. Upon arrival, check back into your hotel and spend the evening exploring Thamel's famous streets — great for souvenir shopping, trying Nepali cuisine and people-watching.
Today is dedicated to exploring the extraordinary UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Kathmandu Valley with your knowledgeable English-speaking guide.
Begin at Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred Hindu temples in Asia, set on the banks of the holy Bagmati River — an awe-inspiring window into Nepal's deep spiritual traditions. Continue to the magnificent Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, where you'll walk the sacred circumambulation path among monks, pilgrims and spinning prayer wheels. Next, climb to Swoyambhunath (the Monkey Temple) on its hilltop above the Kathmandu Valley, with panoramic views over the city and the watchful eyes of the Buddha painted on every face of its golden spire. End the day at Patan Durbar Square, a remarkable plaza of Newari architecture — intricately wood-carved temples, royal courtyards and centuries-old sculptures that remain beautifully intact. In the evening, enjoy a final night out in Kathmandu — perhaps a rooftop dinner with views over the twinkling city lights.
Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel. At your designated time, our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight. If your flight departs late, there may be time for a last stroll through Thamel for final souvenirs or a relaxed morning at the hotel. We hope this journey has given you wonderful memories of Nepal — and we look forward to welcoming you back for your next Himalayan adventure!
