Santosh bhai took care of the group in hardships and lead the group successfully to EBC and kalapathar. “I was not fully prepared to hike for two weeks and reach altitudes which usually aircraft’s choose to fly. The weather was pleasant although it rained the first few days. But yeah, myself and my husband ended up doing it :) and we both were not alone we were accompanied by a bunch of equally dim witted but nevertheless enthusiastic bunch of first time self acclaimed high altitude trekkers :) it was quite an experience. 14 days of slow paced hiking constantly humbled by the mountains choosing to look down the trail most of the time to slowly hike up the mountain trail :) but It was all worth it!!! The views on the trail are stunning and one realises how privileged one really is to witness such beauty and vastness of the Himalayas!! Thanks to Santhosh bhai and Ram bhai our trek guides who helped us reach the base cam and the whole team of himalayan social journey who made it all possible!”

“This was my first multi-day trek and it is not possible without our guides: Satosh Dhakal and Dinesh. Santosh being the lead-guide he managed everything seamlessly and he is the first person we reach-out. Our guides addressed all our needs even leaving their food at times. Dinesh was so kind to even carry the young kid in our trek when he couldn't move anymore. Santosh's constant warning on drinking water saved most of us from AMS. His quirky comedies and magic trick made the tiring stays easier. 100/100 i would recommend.”

“We had an amazing 13 days trek to EBC.Approximately 130km. Scenic views ,valleys and moutain ranges. Acclimitization and the instrution where very professinal. Higher the altitude options starts getting reduced.but that is meant for the trek too. We had best food in Khumbhu inn ,phakding. Special thanks to our experienced Guide and Porter. Our Guides( Mingmar Sherpa, Khil Raj) and porter ( Pasang)was absolutely nice and calm.Even when we had trouble on breathing he adviced us what to eat and checked all our Oxygen levels.He was well experienced due to which we were able to make 100 percent success in a group of 18.Also they where supportive enough so that even slow pace people in gang where able to cafch up.”

“My Wife and I are an Australian couple that traveled Nepal using HSJ's services. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Originally, we had only booked an Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek with a helicopter return; but due to an injury we had to delay the trek a week. In that time, Ram (the owner of HSJ) and his staff were incredibly helpful and flexible with times, helped us to re-book and even helped us book a Chitwan tour while we were recovering. The guides on our EBC were also incredible. Santosh and Denish guided us all the way to Base Camp, and supported us when we were not dealing well with some of the challenges we were presented with. Santosh also helped us with re-arranging the helicopter for an earlier flight as we were both suffering from mild AMS. As far as Nepalese-based tour companies are concerned, I feel as though HSJ did everything in their power to ensure my Wife and I were safe and happy with our experience of Nepal. Thanks guys.”

“My experience has been amazing during EBC trip and special thanks to our guide SANTOSH DHAKAL who was extremely supportive and patience fully helped us at each step of journey with loads of stories, jokes, care everything. Doing EBC trek in winters is not easy. There were some point when I felt like I wouldn’t be able to complete but Santosh always analysed the situation and gave correct guidance and said ‘trust me you can do it’. Thank you so much for your beleif 😊. Also, the staying arrangements were quite nice with warm foods always. This is the best trekk experience I have ever had 😊.”

“Overall Itinerary was set very nicely. Staff - I'll rate a 11/10 if I could. They're really down to earth and willing to go beyond their reach to help the participants get their best out of their health as well as creating the smoothest experience. @Santosh & @Dinesh were the two guides we had during our trek recently in Dec'23-Jan'24 and I can't recommend them anymore. They were flawless, excellent in how they handle each and every aspect of the journey. I'll personally rate them a 10/10. Other notable mentions who have been really helpful throughout the journey were Mr. Ram, Usha & Tenzing Sherpa. The hotels, travel plans, guide, suggested food options were really well planned and up to the mark. Overall, one amazing experience, much recommended. One should surely book through HSJ.”

“This was by far the best tour company I have ever booked with. For starters, it took three attempts to make it to Nepal from Miami since 2019. The owner, Ram, has locked in my price since that time. He has been so understanding and accommodating. That’s the first huge GREEN FLAG. I booked the 16 day Everest Base Camp Trek. If you decide to book this tour, I would highly recommend asking for Mingmar to be your guide. Mingmar is an absolutely fabulous. His willingness to assist his clients far exceeds expectations. I became very ill during the trek and Mingmar was extremely patient, helpful and encouraging. He carried ALL OF MY BAGS the entire time we trekked. We trekked in January and it was extremely cold. Even in the tough weather conditions I still felt extremely safe with Mingmar as my guide , assisting in anyway possible. This was an unforgettable experience, a true adventure of a lifetime. I can’t thank both Mingmar and Ram enough for making this magical memory happen.”

“Having travelled with Himalayan Social Journey 7years ago we didn’t hesitate to book with them again, this trip surpassed the previous one. Our guide Tenzen Sherpa was amazing, his knowledge of the mountains and culture is impeccable, due to some unplanned circumstances we had to change our plans mid trek, when we approached Tenzen about this, he came up with a new itinerary that more than met our needs. Throughout the whole trek he was there for our every need and making sure we were ok. We are intending to return next year and we will be requesting Tenzen Sherpa when we do. Also I can’t leave a review without including our porter Ayus, he is incredible with his work, he also made the trip enjoyable and funny with our interactions, Tenzen and Ayus are an amazing team together.”
