“I am so blessed to have been guided to Everest Base Camp ( EBC) by Santosh - an absolute superstar personality and human being. The best thing about Santosh is his calm composure which he maintains at all times, with a smile on his face. His unwavering support at all times, like when our flight was delayed by 5 hours from KTM to Lukla, he gave us the confidence that it will happen and to be patient. I have learnt so much from him, especially how he kept all of us in such good humour, cracking jokes and making us laugh to take the edge off us when we got miserable with the weather. He held our hands every step of the way. I would also like to sincerely thank and appreciate the efforts of Arjun and Dinesh, the other guides who were our support every step of the way when we were in the front of the trail, also with constant reminders to keep drinking water and taking those mini breaks that helped us achieve our goal. All in all, these 3 guides were really our pillars of strength and comfort when times got rough. Sincere thanks and gratitude to all of you at Himalayan Social Journey, A dream come true. My only point of concern was the use of mountain yaks to transfer our luggage from tea house to tea house, if this could be avoided and made mandatory to not use animals as part of your animal welfare policy, it would be great. Otherwise, the stay, the food, the comfort were all top notch!”

“Recently I completed my EBC trecking which started on 10th March and completed on 21st March. We were a group of 10 people with trek leader (guide) Santosh Dhakal and assistant guide Arjun and Dinesh. This has been a great journey of my life and achieved seamlessly. All three of them are very experienced with good behaviour, humble, helpful, generous and with good sense of humour. We followed the guidelines of Santosh being the leader and every person in the group has conquered Everest Base Camp without any issues and health related too. He knows the trail perfectly and instruct accordingly. He ensures to conduct a brief session everyday before we start next day. All of them are fluent in speaking English. Now they are literally my good friends too. They are doing great job and I wish them all the best in their career. Thanks to Himalayan Social Journey for providing best accommodation everywhere. “I booked a 14-day EBC trip with Himalayan Social Journey. We had to cut down our journey by two days due to inclement weather but our group was still able to complete the trek with a day to spare! This was mainly due to efforts of our guides Mr Mingmar Sherpa & Mr Dinesh. Both of them had fair knowledge and kept sharing trivia along the way. As we got closer to EBC, I got headaches due to chilly winds. But these guys helped me, kept me motivated and i was able to complete this once-in-a-lifetime trek!”

“We completed the 14 day Everest base camp tour with HSJ. They took care of everything along the way - food, accommodation, porters etc. Which allowed us to focus on the beautiful views of the Himalayas along the way. The trek was well designed, spending time in certain towns to ensure limited risk of altitude sickness. It was a great way to see the culture of the Sherpas and Nepalese people. Our guide Killraj was an expert on the mountain, navigating through complex paths (and shortcuts!), and was a great knowledge resource when it came to the mountains and history. HSJ took care of us from the moment we landed in Kathmandu, all the way through until we departed. A great holistic package for anyone who wants to tackle the great EBC adventure!”

“My EBC-2024 trek was one to remember for life! Himalayan Social Journey had organised the entire trip. They did a good job throughout to make us comfortable and look after our needs. Just that due to people cancelling their trip at the last moment, we had to stay in triple sharing room instead of twin sharing as we were three ladies left in the end.But we still managed to enjoy😀. We were a total strength of 14 Indians in the group from all over the world. .HSJ was very supportive throughout thr trip and Amrit, its owner and organiser gave us support in every way possible. He was very helpful with a lot of things during our entire stay. Mingmaa Sherpa and Janak were our guides.Mingma being the senior guide and incharge. Both of them were superb at their job and had a great amount of stamina.They both took care of our food, water and other logistic requirements during the entire trek very nicely. Made sure we got hot meals and recommended what was the best things to eat to avoid AMS amd related issues. They were always smiling and always ready to help n support during the challenging times of the trek. A word about Mingma...the guide and the wonderful man. Mingma sherpa is a highly qualified and a superb guide. His knowledge about himalayas, its history and present information, stories around it were very informative and intriguing. His greatest virtue as a guide was that he never would leave a single person behind no matter how long it took for the last person to reach the final destination for the day. He is very motivating, has immense patience, is very organised, tries to make the atmosphere lighter with his jokes, is forever smiling and is a complete teamplayer. I use to look forward to his briefings at dinner time for the next days trek eagerly. He took great care of each one of us throughout these 14 days. I hope to get the opportunity to trek with Mingma again sometime !! Thank you for making this trip so memorable for all of us !! God Bless this wonderful team !”

“From the time I dropped in at your Himalayan suite hotel, your personal interactions from the reception staff, security, driver, restaurant staff, Mr Ram Sapkota and family, Mr Gyan Prasad Rimal have been so heart touching. All through the tour, Mingmar Sherpa ws so motivating and ready to be helping everyone. A smiling face and responsible, resilient character worth noticing to be a Sherpa. Janak with the first aid box and the whistle blower in the early morning was impressive. If the desire to visit Nepal again has been imbued in me, credit goes to both nature and humanity. The only area i see an improvement requires is on selection of hotel especially at Namache Bazar. The food was not that great and very expensive compared to other hotel Overall nice experience .”

“I went recently with my friends to Everest Base Camp through Himalayan social Journey. Its an amazing place. Tough and challenging but worth every minute and penny. Staff were supportive. They provided all the required support like every day briefings, handhold support, daily reviews and expected behavioural changes/ illnesses updates . Sp02 measured every night. “I would rate this Trek as an experience of my life. This was my first Trek ever and the longest one compared to what people do normally. But the journey was very smooth due to the support provided by the guide Mingmar Sherpa and Janak and the Himalayan Social Journey members. I have a special place in heart for the love and warmth shared by everyone during the Trek. Here are something I would like to say about the contribution of the guides. Start date - 9-May-2024 - Reached Kathmandu Everest Base Camp - 17-May-2024 End date - 21-May-2024 - Reached Kathmandu 1. Amazing introduction session at Himalayan Suites hotel. Gave enough information. Made us feel at home. Nothing more than what was required which could scare anyone. The talk given by Mingmar was no less than a motivational talk just boosting everyone's self confidence and morale. 2. Personal checklists shared earlier to the Trek and Mingmar checked everyone's luggage and made sure nothing is missed which could be crucial for the Trek. 3. Amazing assistance on the way to Ramechap, luggage handling at airport. Giving us a glimpse of the peaks and mountains during the short flight to Lukla 4. Short briefing everyday during dinner time with how the next day is going to unfold. Dos and don'ts, what to pack, essentials, Trek distance, weather, terrain, Places of interest etc. 5. Taking group pictures on the way, always cheerful, happy, cracking jokes, light hearted but firm and disciplined as well as flexible. 6. Enforcing starting time for each day and give a wake up call in the morning. 7. Food suggestions, taking orders, payments etc. 8. During the Trek provided timely help for people in the group who were feeling breathless, tired and made them feel comfortable. 9. Incredible knowledge of the Khumbu region, shared inspirational stories of Sherpas and people who have done the Trek before. 10. Share the knowledge about different mountains, height, summits done in each season, best time to climb etc. 11. Medical support for team members to ensure that everyone is healthy and in best shape to achieve the milestone. The Journey on each single day was just marvelous. Checking the Oxygen Saturation, Pulse, any other health issues and providing basic medication. 12. Personal attention to everyone's needs and the immense experience of the Trek route, fluctuating weather made our life very easy and had a fantastic experience. 13. Provided Certificate, T-shirt at the end of the Trek. In short, the Everest Base Camp trek was an experience I am going to cherish throughout my life. This would not have been possible without the active involvement of Himalayan Social Journey and the guide Mingmar and Janak.
