1. Down Payment

• To secure a place, please make a down payment of at least 20% of the total trip cost. Please note that the deposit amount is non-refundable in the case of cancellation. Total dues should be paid 30 days before departure or after you arrive in Kathmandu.

Don't hesitate to contact us if this will cause you a problem; we will try to be flexible.

2. How To Pay Your Deposit

You can choose two different ways of making payment:

a. Online Payment

b. Bank Transfer:

Note: Please do not transfer your amount to any bank account other than the abovementioned details. If in case, you receive any emails that request you to transfer to any other bank account. Please contact us immediately at our email [email protected]

3. Payment of The Balance

The rest amount can be paid before a month of your arrival. If you choose to settle your holiday balance by credit card, a handling charge of 3.5% on the outstanding balance is made. There is no handling charge for payment by bank transfer.

4. Last-Minute Booking

We only accept last-minute bookings for Nepal excursions. Last-minute bookings for India, Bhutan, and Tibet trips are not accepted.

5. Refund

No refund will be made for the 20% deposit amount in case of cancellation of the trip for any reason. However, we are willing to reschedule your trip for a later date. HSJ will refund you if you have paid the full cost of any trip; nevertheless, you will be invoiced a 20% charge on the trip's overall cost.

Note: Written notification of your cancellation should be made to cancel any trip.

6. Single Supplement Charge

On our holiday tour/trek packages, rooms or tents are provided on a twin-sharing basis. Thus, a single room supplement charge will be imposed on a client who does not have another tour participant to share a room/tent.

7. Incomplete Tour

No refund will be made to clients who drop out from the journey, regardless of whatever portions remain unused in the itinerary.

8. Unforeseen Circumstances

Suppose the Himalayan Social Journey company cancels your trip because of unforeseen circumstances like war, natural disasters, conflict, unfavorable climate, etc. In that case, we will be thrilled to refer you alternative trip of a similar standard.

If this doesn't fit your interest, all money paid by you to our company will be refunded. But remember, any other expenses incurred by you due to this booking are entirely your responsibility.

9. Clients' Responsible

A tour/trek guide representing Himalayan Social Journey Company deserves all authority during your tours. 

10. Travel Insurance

You must purchase a comprehensive travel insurance package against medical, natural calamity, helicopter evacuation, personal accident, trip cancellation, etc. This is strongly suggested to all our clients.

11. Tour Amendment

Prior notice is requested to make alterations to any trek/tour itinerary. You're advised to stay in touch with us. But occasionally, you may be obliged to do so en route under certain circumstances, for instance, bad weather, etc.

12. Papers & Documents

All necessary documents should be presented in sequence, for example, to issue visas, necessary permits, etc. We are not accountable if any trip formalities are not completed in a timely manner before the trip departs due to a lack of necessary papers and documents.

13. Flight Delay / Cancellation

Flight delays or cancellations are very likely in Himalayan regions due to notorious weather, which could occur, for instance, in the Everest region (Lukla), Jomsom, Dolpa, Simikot, and Jumla regions, among others. In such a case, your itinerary will be modified.

14. HSJ Mission

HSJ's mission is to finance its community enhancement programs through the revenues generated by tourism. The Himalayan Community Project contributes 10% of the proceeds from any HSJ-organized trip or trek to improve needy children's educational level in Nepal's rural communities.
