had a trip with my 4 other friends to the Annapurna Base Camp. it was an ALL GIRLS trip. and we book this agency because of the more affordable price compared to other agency we surveyed. The trip was the best trip we ever had!! They are punctual, honest, loyal and transparent with their itinerary and price. I can guarantee you not to worry about scam or frauds. The journey was smooth, from pickup by airplane until return to airplane. The provide free Tshirt and some Nepali gifts for us too. Please ask for Guide named Bini, and Razan (one more porter I forgot his name, sorry!!!) since our guide, Bini lead the trail so well with the porters!! If I were to come again definitely will ask for them too. The boys are really reliable since they knew the mountain really really well, and they are very accomodating even to us who is not familiar with this hike. Very helpful with our bags, and keeping us safe along the journey. Fun to be with, you will not for a moment regret the decision to come here!

The Kailash-Manasarovar trip was never on our bucket list because my husband and I knew this to be an intense trip and never thought of this as something we could do. The idea was planted in my head by a dear friend who had been on an Everest Base Camp trip organized by Himalayan Social Journey (HSJ) and her enthusiasm inspired me. She had such a great experience on the EBC trip that she chose HSJ again for this trip, which I would say is the ultimate adventurous pilgrimage. There were so many unexpected twists and turns with sudden changes in Chinese visa processing timeframes , bridge collapse and landslides, but HSJ was very resourceful, handled it all with professionalism and care, ensuring our overall trip dates and flight reservations were not affected. We had a greatly satisfying, spiritual experience. I highly recommend them and will certainly choose them for future travel needs. It’s a family-run business and they treat their clients like family. We completed our EBC trek under able guidance and leadership of MR. Dawa Sherpa. He knows the terrain very well. He is a extremely jolly go person with high leadership skills in extreme climate and high altitude pressure scenarios. He is an asset to the organisation. He led us by example and was a great motivator and inspired us throughout the journey. I had such a wonderful experience on the private UNESCO Heritage Site Day Tour in Kathmandu, Nepal with Himalayan Social Journey on July 1, 2024. The tour company provided seamless and timely follow-up services from the initial inquiry to receiving the trip information a day before. This undoubtedly enhanced my overall travel experience. Our guide, Mr. Rajan DHAKAL, was excellent - very knowledgeable about both cultural and historical aspects, keeping the entire journey interesting. Additionally, he was very considerate and able to cater to my needs promptly. The vehicle used was also new, comfortable and spacious. We trekked Annapurna Base Camp in early April 2025. What an awesome experience. We dealt with Usha in planning the trip months in advance and she was amazing to deal with. We had used HSJ 10 years ago when we did Everest Base camp, and the owner, Mr Ram, gave us special attention and add on’s. Our guide, Santosh, was the best we could have asked for- patient, polite and light-hearted. We will always come back to HSJ.

My Wife and I are an Australian couple that traveled Nepal using HSJ's services. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Originally, we had only booked an Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek with a helicopter return; but due to an injury we had to delay the trek a week. In that time, Ram (the owner of HSJ) and his staff were incredibly helpful and flexible with times, helped us to re-book and even helped us book a Chitwan tour while we were recovering. The guides on our EBC were also incredible. Santosh and Denish guided us all the way to Base Camp, and supported us when we were not dealing well with some of the challenges we were presented with. Santosh also helped us with re-arranging the helicopter for an earlier flight as we were both suffering from mild AMS. As far as Nepalese-based tour companies are concerned, I feel as though HSJ did everything in their power to ensure my Wife and I were safe and happy with our experience of Nepal. Thanks guys.

Originally booked as a family trekking tour for 4 people. Unfortunately, due to illness our sister and her husband has to cancel with 3 days of flying out. Refund was done promptly within the term and conditions of this company. Our itinerary was delayed by one day due to Dashain festival, but was compensated with a Jeep ride to starting point rather than by bus as stated for the 3 of us as there is another trekker joining our tour in Kathmandu. Our tour guide Shankar is very experienced and has taken a great care of us as before. This is our third tour with Himalayan Social Journey (2019, 2022 & 2023) and our second tour with this team which includes Shankar as our guide, Prakash and Krishna as porters. We are very happy with this professional company, and was lucky enough to have booked with them previously. We hope to return to Nepal next October 2024 and continue to book with this company many more years to come. We highly recommended this professional Nepalese local trekking company.

He kept us motivated throughout, sharing not just the history of the region, but also the deep emotions and traditions of the mountain people.
